Customers are the main Shop Titans mechanic of earning gold.
Interacting with a Customer[]
When a customer has chosen how to interact with the Shopkeeper, he/she will approach the counter with a bubble that includes an item over his/her head. After interacting with the bubble, the player has the following choices which might be greyed out due to insufficient energy which may be performed once:
Suggest[]
Suggesting a different item uses energy to change the item being sold to the one in the image. By clicking on the "..." button, a list of other possibilities is given.
Small Talk[]
Small talking with a customer is one of the main forms of energy manipulation. The shopkeeper has a 70% chance of success which gives 10% of the missing energy (max energy - current energy), while failure takes 7% of your max energy.
Refuse[]
Refusing allows the shopkeeper to turn the customer away without any future ramifications. Energy gained through a successful small talk, discounting, and paying more is returned while energy lost through surcharging and paying less is gained again. Energy lost through a failed small talk is not gained back.
Discount[]
Reduces the price of the item by 50% while giving the player some energy based on the item being sold.
Surcharge[]
Doubles the price of the item while costing energy based on the item being sold.
Sell[]
Sells the item for the noted price while giving the Shopkeeper energy based on the level of the counter.
Restock[]
Opens up two options for the Shopkeeper:
Pay More[]
Doubles the price of the item while giving the player some energy based on the item being bought.
Pay Less[]
Reduces the price of the item by 50% while costing energy based on the item being bought.
Buy[]
Buys the item for the noted price while giving the Shopkeeper energy based on the level of the counter.
